ABOUT THE POSITION

The Partnership is hiring an inaugural Director of School Transformation Conditions to lead the organization’s efforts to ensure all network schools are equipped with the conditions and culture necessary for transformation and thriving students and adults. The Director will lead cross-functional cohort-based teams to build the capacity of schools in our network to implement systems of support, foster inclusive learning environments, and address barriers to transformation. The Director will lead a team of School Transformation Coordinators to collaborate with school leaders and internally on the implementation and progress monitoring of school support plans, Black and Emergent Bilingual student support, and school transformation, all through a strategic and multi-faceted approach. The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking, can manage and coach a team effectively, and leads with a collaborative and strategic mindset.

The Director of School Transformation Conditions has a direct impact on the 2030 strategic plan through their team’s work of supporting principals with differentiated school improvement plans for Partnership schools, including for Black and emergent bilingual students, with additional differentiation for priority schools. The Director will also build mindsets, practices, and systems that ensure student needs are identified and met.

The Partnership is committed to continuously building an anti-racist culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in classrooms and in our home office. The Director of School Transformation Conditions will be someone who is committed to implementing these values in creative ways when executing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

As this is a new role, the job description is a representation of our current and best thinking. The team member in this role will help shape what the role looks like in practice, and while the priorities may evolve over time, the position will remain at the director job level.
